A Story with a Moral

Mrs Lucky was passing a bad time, full of debts and troubles and with no chance of getting a job.
One day she felt strangely cheerful and she bought a lottery ticket. She almost faint when she was told she has won the big price. Suddenly, things began to go well and friends didn’t stop to calling her. She felt pride because of that and there was when the greed phantom began to walk around.

She met a man and fell in love, she shared everything with him; but their new friends were always gossiping at their backs. Then, listen to their new friends, she broke off the relationship and invested all her money in an Internet company. This company was really a fraud and she lost all her money.
When she felt on despair their lover appeared and together reconstructed their live.

Travel Recommendation

If you are going to Ecuador, you ought to visit the national park where is the Cotopaxi frozen volcano, which is one of the highest snowcapped volcanoes in the country.

It’s just one hour and quarter from the capital city, Quito. It’s a huge park in the country side where people go to see the sleeping giant which gives home to a great vary of wildlife and pure ponds that allow the life in a very cold region.

If you want to do the traditional travel, you may take the train which ascends from Quito and through the valleys and cliffs to the park, which is the best way to see all the beauty of our country, changing it clime and vegetation as long as the train follow the path.

Some years before, it was possible to travel over the train’s roof but, unfortunately, that’s no longer possible, however, hundreds of tourists continue visiting it because of the phenomenally sight and experiences that the Cotopaxi gives them.

A Letter of Complaint

2012
Dear Mr Neo
I’m writing to explain a problem I have had with your Enter the Matrix worm portal. I recently took the red pill and the mirror swallowed me as the box said but all of sudden I appeared on McDonnals which is kind of ironic.

I took contact with the rebels last month and I received the pill from your crew three days ago. I was busy spending my time in this false reality for last time those days and when I finally got my black dresses and took the pill I popped up in McDonnals looking like that guy from The Raven movie. There, a kind waitress pointed out the complaint box when I asked for it.

I know about your “situation” with the machines but I would ask for assistance from your busy staff before those suited up guys outside catch me. So, could you please send someone to mend the problem, it would be great if it comes with a motorbike, you know, to run out and make the agents bite the dust.

I look forward to hearing from you

Greetings
Daniel

Writing an Opinion

A healthy life is a boring life

A worthwhile life, rest on of the lifestyle. As many topics in life this one has as different sides as like chalk and cheese. There are the “lively” ones saying “no risk, no fun” and the healthy ones saying that life well-kept help them to face the risks in a better way. So let’s see their arguments.

I think all boring stuffs that some people accomplish about healthy life and it’s just the food because, the main characters of a healthy live are healthy food end exercise, that’s all. So exercise can never be boring, in fact, it’s so exciting and it keeps you relaxed, but , it’s true there are some restrictions about the food, for example junk food, sugar, red meals, non-natural drinks, etc; Which can be a serious problem for meat lovers and sugar addicts, and all their arguments reduce to that.
By the other hand, a healthy lifestyle provides you a life full of energy, without heart attacks in each corner. And, it’s truth that you might change your eating habits, but that’s a chance to be fair with your body and not just fill them with poisonous coca-cola.

Report of a Topic

Why do people prefer to speak face to face?

Face to face talking is the remaining kind of personal approaching. Nowadays, technology allow us to keep in touch with everybody around the world immediately but, still there are some walls we cannot avoid and make people have second thoughts and this is what I’m going to talk about.

Firstly, all the social networks stuff may appear as if has a lot of benefits, but, at the end of the day it’s as a huge mask ball where you have an average of 2000 “friends” from which you just really know 150 and, from the other 1850 you never know who you are talking with.

There is the text messaging thing also; well this is a little bit more personal since you do it frequently with people that are related to you, there are always those misunderstanding problems that can cause troubles because of nonsense stuffs.

Finally, I think that face to face talking is the only way we can get related, really knowing the person you are talking with, well at least physically.

Personal Letter

Dear Ashley,
How are you? It’s been a long time since our last talking; I can’t believe you just have broken off your relationship so I want to know it all. Well, I’ve already moved and I share the flat with some friends so it's little cheaper. It’s a good flat, you know, nice neighbors, great view but I think I´m moving again, the problem is my roommates, too much noise, parties every night, I just have studied few. I would like to see you so write me back and set a date then we will talk such as much as we want.
Hugs from Fran.

Narrative strategies

The moment I walked into the house, I knew something was wrong. I usually come home late during the week, and that night wasn’t different. I left the office, arrived to my street then I realized that the lights were out all over the neighborhood, but I didn’t care. So I put the keys on the lock and came in, then I heard a noise coming from the background. I went there and all of sudden a glare came from nowhere and a huge noise terrified me. When I finally could calm down, I realized that it was my neighbor proyecting a film in his backyard, I felt quite upset.

The City of the Beasts

Last week, I got this book which came with the newspaper. The book was written by a writer of whom I’ve listened before, Isabel Allende, so I decided to read it so that I can have my own point of view about their books. The book was called “The city of the Beasts”. It tells the story about a kid and his grandma and their adventures through the Amazonas rainforest.
The kid goes to the Amazonas rainforest with his grandma, who is a reporter from the international geographic, looking for a story that has spread between the nearest villages. There, the kid met a girl who help him, together they solve the mystery about the beasts which frighten people and save the people of the mist.

Intercultural Experience

Well, last holiday I went to the rainforest region from my country to spend sometime getting relaxed, well, it was a mistake.

First, I'm quite used to cold weather, so at the beginning the warmth was ok, but later it turned awful. I was with some cousins, so we decided going for some drinks. In the way, we saw a street festival like a parade and we were just walking around. All of sudden, we found ourselves in the middle of the central act with people offering us to eat a kind of white worms, did I say they still were alive?, well they were. No one told us that we had to eat them but we felt that if we hadn't do that, it would had been offensive. Finally we did it and they tasted better of what we though at first, but I don't think I would it again.

To sum up, my advice is, you must get noticed about what's going on in a parade before you get involved in it because you could regret it later.

Self Introduction

Dear readers,

I'm Daniel and I've got to do these writings to improve my writing level of english.

So, lets begin; I'm 17 and single, and I live in Quito, which is the capital city from a little sudamerican country named Ecuador. I'm living with my parents, but that will change soon perhaps. I'm a student at ESPE University in a kind of special group which specialises in getting a scolarship. I want to go and study in England, so I'm doing my best.

My biggest passion is art, anyway of art, specially music, I love play and listen to music. I think you can print your emotions in every single note that you play and when you share that, you can change the world. I like sports too, and the one that I like the most is called Capoeira, which is a sport where you don't try to challenge someone but you try to create a conection with the one you are playing with.

Well, that's all for now while I try to improve my writing skills.

Friendly,
The Story-Teller
